ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing this website, requesting a quote, booking a service, or using any products or services offered by Singh Technical Services Ltd. (“STS”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our website and services.

CORPORATE STRUCTURE & NO PERSONAL LIABILITY

All services, installations, monitoring, consulting, and related work are performed solely by Singh Technical Services Ltd., a Manitoba-registered corporation.

 

Employees, technicians, subcontractors, officers, and representatives act only as agents of the corporation. No individual associated with STS may be held personally liable for any claims, damages, losses, or disputes. All legal and financial responsibility rests exclusively with the corporation.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Singh Technical Services Ltd. provides low-voltage and technology services including, but not limited to:

 

• Security alarm installation, configuration, and monitoring
• Surveillance and camera system installation
• Access control system installation
• Audio-video and home theater systems
• Structured cabling and networking
• Smart home integrations
• Commercial and residential technology solutions

 

All services are subject to availability and may change without notice.

QUOTES, PRICING & PAYMENT TERMS

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified in writing. Pricing may change due to material cost fluctuations or supplier changes.

 

Invoices are due upon receipt unless special terms are provided in writing. STS may suspend monitoring, service, or support if accounts become overdue. Collections or legal recovery may be initiated for unpaid invoices.

 

All financial obligations are strictly between the Client and Singh Technical Services Ltd.

INSTALLATION TERMS

Installations may require drilling, mounting, wire routing, or altering surfaces. Minor cosmetic damage may occur and is considered normal.

 

STS is not responsible for:

 

• Pre-existing building issues or hidden structural defects
• Electrical, network, or ISP failures
• Third-party equipment failures
• Client-provided equipment issues

 

Equipment placement is based on best-practice coverage and building limitations.

OWNERSHIP, TITLE & NO AUTOMATIC RESCISSION (IMPORTANT)

All equipment supplied and/or installed by Singh Technical Services Ltd. remains the property of Singh Technical Services Ltd. unless and until ownership is expressly transferred in writing.

Payment of any refund, service credit, judgment, or settlement **does not** constitute rescission of the contract or transfer of ownership unless explicitly ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction or agreed to in writing by both parties.

No dispute, refund, service issue, or court judgment shall be deemed to rescind this agreement automatically.

Failure by STS to respond to correspondence, demands, or deadlines imposed by the Client shall not be deemed consent, abandonment, waiver, or acceptance of any ownership transfer or contractual change.

PRESERVATION OF EQUIPMENT DURING DISPUTES

In the event of any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding, the Client agrees to preserve all installed equipment, cabling, wiring, power supplies, network connections, and related infrastructure in their existing condition.

 

The Client shall not disconnect, disable, alter, remove, reuse, or damage any such equipment pending final resolution unless authorized by court order or written agreement.

ALARM MONITORING & COMMUNICATION

 Monitoring relies on internet, cellular, or telephone communication networks, which may experience outages. Emergency service response times are not guaranteed.

 

STS is not an insurer and does not guarantee prevention of loss or crime. False alarm fines are the Client’s responsibility. Monitoring may be suspended due to equipment malfunction or overdue accounts.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maximum liability of Singh Technical Services Ltd. is limited to the total amount paid by the Client in the previous 12 months.

 

STS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or economic damages, including but not limited to:

 

• Loss of property
• Loss of revenue or profits
• Business interruption
• Damages caused by system failure
• Communication or internet outages
• Power surges or environmental events
• Criminal activity or break-ins
• Manufacturer defects


No individual employee, technician, or representative bears personal liability under any circumstances.

NO CLAIM SPLITTING

All claims, disputes, or causes of action arising from the same project, transaction, or incident must be brought in a single action. Subsequent or multiple claims arising from the same facts are prohibited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

WARRANTY

Equipment carries manufacturer warranty only. Labour warranty is ninety (90) days unless otherwise specified.

Warranty does not cover:

• Internet or network problems
• Lightning or power surge damage
• Vandalism
• Misuse or tampering
• Modifications by third parties


Warranty is void if the system is moved, altered, or serviced by anyone other than STS.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Clients agree to:

 

• Maintain stable internet/network connectivity
• Provide accurate and updated contact information
• Ensure safe and accessible work areas
• Report system issues promptly

 

Failure to meet these responsibilities may void warranty or monitoring coverage.y

ACCESS & SAFETY

Clients must provide safe working conditions for technicians. If unsafe conditions exist, service may be refused or rescheduled.

CANCELLATIONS & SERVICE FEES

Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice or a fee may apply. Missed appointments may be billed. Emergency or after-hours services may incur premium rates.

Monitoring agreements may include early termination fees.

COUNSEL-ONLY COMMUNICATIONS

Once a dispute involves legal claims, threats, or court proceedings, all further communications must be directed through legal counsel. STS may refuse direct contact outside of counsel once a dispute has escalated.

NO ABUSE POLICY

Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour toward staff, technicians, or contractors may result in immediate suspension or termination of services.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, documentation, media, and materials are the property of Singh Technical Services Ltd. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.

PRIVACY POLICY

STS collects information necessary for service, installation, monitoring, billing, and compliance. Data may be shared with monitoring partners, emergency services when required, billing or collection agencies, and equipment suppliers for warranty purposes.

STS does not sell or distribute personal information to unrelated third parties.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the laws of Canada.

CHANGES TO TERMS

STS may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. Clients are responsible for reviewing them periodically.
